Alicia Schuster Weltner serves as Canon to the Ordinary of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. She is the bishop’s chief of staff and chief operating officer of the diocese. She facilitates the priority initiatives of the bishop’s work and the broader involvement of those in the diocese and wider church who have gifts to partner in that work. An ordained Episcopal priest since 1995, she served in parish ministry for 10 years before joining the bishop’s staff. She developed and is lead faculty for “Learning to Lead,” a year long program in leadership development for clergy, now in it’s fourth year, and “Called to Lead,” an intensive day-long immersion for lay leaders, with other courses in development. She is adjunct faculty in leadership in the Episcopal Studies program at Candler School of Theology. Alicia trained in the teaching and practice of leadership and change with Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, Minds at Work, Inc., and Cambridge Leadership Associates.
