Professional experience:
Eugenio Garza de la Puente is the CEO of Plaza Huajuco Uno SAPI de CV and Inmobiliaria Cañon del Hujuaco S.A. de C.V. a commercial and residential real estate company headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico. He also serves as a monthly columnist on public affairs for Grupo Reforma, one of the largests print media company in Mexico and Latin America. He serves as a Board Member to several companies such as ProGLP SA de CV, Grupo Ematec and Luz Eterna SA de CV. He previously worked with Mexico's Ministry of Commerce to formulate policies fostering entrepreneurship and technological development in Mexico. Eugenio collaborated with the Ministry of Communications to increase Mexico’s internet coverage from 60% to 92% of the municipalities and created alliances with Google and IBM for software training in education and health care. He co-founded Schoolhub Inc., a suite of integrated, mobile-first management tools for students and teachers that combines project tracking applications, social media and communication platforms. Eugenio received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and his MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
